English Language Arts

Literacy

We provide all students at P.S. 255 with literacy instruction that incorporates fiction and nonfiction texts to best support our students in meeting the Common Core Learning Standards. Students are exposed to units that are challenging and thought provoking. Students also receive small group instruction in literacy throughout the week as well.

Students in Kindergarten through 5th grade utilize HMH into Reading as our literacy curriculum.
